Don't you recall when you were young when nursery rhymes were commonly repeated?
What was it about the colour Green? Don't they associate Green with envy?
So over the weekend, some people gather to oppose the Lynas plant. I bet that those who attended did not even get their facts from experts, more like experts wanna be.
I can't help but think that those who did turn up to oppose are those who have been asked to do.
Why? for one, Anwar can't get over the fact that Najib has been doing the right things to lift Malaysia, and
Lynas is one of those projects that will help Malaysia. With the onslaught of technology products that
require rare earth products, Malaysia can ease into the market where China controls.
Hell, how else can you describe Anwar jumping on the bandwagon? Frmo day one, he has not uttered a word
about Lynas, then all of a sudden, he wants to champion it? With Hishamudin Rais tickling the crowd pink by introducing the politicians at the protest?
Clearly, Pakatan is still trying their best to win over the rakyat, and which way else then to 'tickle' the crowd pink?
What ever happened to the results of the states they govern?
As the opposition leader (and god given one at that), shouldn't he say something about their performance in Kedah? And what about the KSSB Sand story issue in his own backyard, so to speak? Instead, he prefers to look into the Gemas cow affair.
Don't lah do all those where there is crowd of supporters...try to see what is happening in Selangor, Kedah, and while at it, ask your Pak Haji friends to focus on their state economy.
Orand lain debate, you pun nak challenge debate. Now, isn't that Green with Envy?
What you don't see. . . . What we hope you can see. I made the change in March 2008. Don't ever be told who you must vote for. You decide who your vote should go to. If you are told to support one group from the other, then you know you are in bad company!

Look who's talking!
My my...I guess some people hasn't woke up from their deep slumber yet.
In fact, it wasn't so long ago that our former Prime Minister - better to say, the sleeping one - had figured
that the online media along with the many blogs and portals was not important too, and look where that got him.
Today, I am made to understand that he prefers to do gardening amongst other occasional official visits and functions, but largely most Malaysians remembered him as the PM who got us nowhere.
In fact, his statement that "...What is more important is that the government is able to contribute to the people through implementation of programmes,"should be something he must be familiar with....for it (the government under him) had implemented 4 corridors that led to nowhere!
I am of the opine that he though doing nothing, had only contributed to the many rise of anti government portals (which gives to more healthy online debates) but also had caused more civil disturbances than his predecessors.
Whereas most who watched the debate over the last weekend had agreed that Malaysians want more political debates, Pak Lah had said that debates won't solve anything.
Pak Lah, you are right, debates won't solve anything but whoever said it will solve things from the beginning? The CSL-LGE debate goes to prove that these two political stalwarts feed off different supporters. If anything, DAP who seems to think that MCA is dying, with LGE's statement goes to show that it prefers to draw on the chinese votes by INSISTING that UMNO is the problem and in the same breath wants these voters to 'rise up to the occasion' by challenging 'Malay supremacy'.
Yes, Pak Lah, it does not solve anything, but you must still be sleeping if you actually missed the whole point that LGE was trying to make. And whilst at it he tossed in Ong Tee Keat's quote too to make both Soi lek and MCA look downright desperate. But Guan eng did not count on Soi Lek to remind all that because of Tee Keat's direction and shakiness, he (Tee Keat) had actually lost the majority support of his own party members.
But Guan eng too did not count on your support, so let's just say that your statement is ...ireelevant, shall we?

It can only mean well...
So yesterday's debate went on quite well right?
Really, I thought both CSL and LGE did well, except that LGE could have done less with his political ceramah and the feel good factor and should have taken the opportunity to provide REAL news for those on the fence.
And crying over spilt milk and choosing to cover up the real facts behind Penang's 'stellar' performance ain't gonna win points.
Chinese at the crossroads? it was more like LGE trying to cross swords...
And please, for those really keen on getting themselves heard, Malaysia did not teach us to stand up and shout.
Take your turn, and register first before proceeding to shout your questions, at kleast that is what I understood to have happened when 2 senior citizens attempted to get themselves heard.
And di you see those rushing to get in line to get heard? Isn't it nice and proper to see REAL Malaysians getting their voices heard in a public forum like this?
Isn't it all so much better then to dress up in yellow and take to the streets? The fact that LGE chose to wear yellow, as did his many supporters simply goes to show that they are out for cheap publicity.
Honestly? I think the debate is something good. And wouldn't it be something now if someone (preferably someone who is a non-muslim) were to challenge PAS to a debate on HUDUD and how it will effect non Muslim Malaysians in general?
I thought it was funny when LGE tried to use OTK's remarks about 'eating off the scraps of UMNO's table'. For a moment I thought LGE was debating OTK, sheesh! Talk about irrelevance!
Look out for the 'A Vote for MCA is a vote against the Chinese' battle cry that DAP might soon be unveiling in the leadup to the 13th GE.
If anyone is to blame for racial sentiments, it can only be LGE cos in no less than three occasions he tried to steer the debate to a 'chinese vs malays' argument.
In the end, IMHO, the Chinese at the crossroads debate was an eye opener, for it really shows now that DAP is trying their very best to derail the many years of good work done by MCA by insisting that the chinese ARE REALLY eating off the scraps of the Bumiputera economic pie.
But in truth, LGE and DAP knows that MCA had done a lot in its 60 odd years of existence, and the ONLY way to draw a wedge in the Barisan Nasional alliance is to tell the Chinese Taiko that it must align itself with the DAP.
That my friend is a desperate attempt. For the chinese that matters (those in real charge of the economic pie) knows that Malaysia is not as simple as how DAP would want it to be. For if it was, it would have been very different from as far back as 1965.
Didn't Uncle Harry fill you in?

The mother of all prostitutes
There cannot be any more doubt, if words of DAP Election Chief Hew Kuan Yau is to be taken seriously.
Seriously.
Since the story broke, and an Editor was asked to leave when he raised the issue of external funding, Malaysiakini then taken from what Hew Kuan Yau believes to be a fact that media personnel receive 'benefits' has to the MOTHER OF ALL PROSTITUTES!
After all, in Prem Chandran's own words, Malaysiakini did receive funding from George Soro's OSI and MLDF (read here and here).
So did Hew Kuan Yau really mean this? Of course not, with Mkini being their media darling, how can he?
There can be no denial from him nor DAP's disciplinary chairman Tan Kok Wai, for they are all in the same boat. DAP after all, is very fond of only visting certain 'prostitutes' for all can see that they will only allow certain media personnel into their press conferences, and if one is to pay even more careful attention, only certain 'prostitutes' are allowed to field questions.....
Now, now, don't deny it!

Hey Unker Chua, how now that Lim Guan Eng said no?
It wasn't so long ago that Chua Jui Meng said that serving the rakyat does not mean that contesting in the election is necessary. In fact, I recall him engaging me in a tweeter exchange reminding me that all that is wrong with this country is UMNO, and the others should 'change' by voting them out.
So if Chua Jui Meng thinks that serving the rakyat does not mean that running in the elections is necessary, then why did he need to ask aloud that he be allowed to contest in Bakri? Er Teck Hwa (MP Bakri) was one of the many who made it Parliament in 2008, but have you heard any of his questions n Parliament?
Nevermind that, in fact his boss Lim Guan Eng seems to think that DAP won the seat in 2008...err LGE, not DAP won lah....its Pak Lah that lost. Two very different scenario.
But for arguments sake, i would suggest Lim Guan Eng conced the Bakri seat to Jui Meng. Really.
Than it will be as clear for all to see how Chua Jui Meng will 'shine' like he always did back in MCA, choosing to put himself first before the party....as he is doing now, putting himself first before his party....or raher Anwar's party!
By the way, is it just me or do you already notice the resemblance between Brader Anwar and Chua Jui Meng?

Question is who will submit a protest against PAS youth? DAPSY?
So here we go again.
Valentines day is again an issue for PAS Youth, and it seems come February 14 or the days leading up to it, any Muslim youth (according to PAS Youth, not me) who sees an advertisement in the media which promotes Valentines day will all of a sudden commit a very 'un-muslim act'.
Which drives our iilogical, muslim radical youth movement of PAS, to object to everything it deems as unislamic.
I wonder what DAP youth will do eh? Do you think they will submit a protest note to Pakatan Rakyat Al-Supremo? Or will they once again hide their tails and shut up? We have seen it often enough, haven't we? When PAS mouthed off about HUDUD, DAP merely kept their tails between their legs, without even a squeak of protest.
And yet, open minded Malaysians can complaint about the government which has more often than not taken the middle path. There can be no doubt that if PAS and the likes of its youth were to emerge as the next government, or part of it, it will straight away censor anything deemed unislamic.
We have already been told of the fate of Genting Highlands IF they ever come to power. But remember, there are far too many of those so called fence sitters who have been slyly brain washed to vote these ultra extremists into power (even convincing former government servants to repeat its 'PAS for all' slogan), but I am more than certain it is rather like 'PAS Fools All' motto!

Hasan Ali can't run away from raids, can he?
No matter how hard he tries, Hasan Ali can't get away from raids, especially those that are done with religious authorities.
He did not shy away from the Damansara Utama Methodist church raid last August, and in his road tour ceramah against the party whom he professes to love, he has again brought the raiding moral police to Bukit Naning!
Well, not quite, but the religious authorities raided Taboh Naning and detained 60 mulims for gambling, a stone's throw from Bukit Naning where Hasan Ali spilled the beans on those who he deem as a threat to the religious call of PAS, a call which he very much subscribes to.
In his words, PAS has now come under the control of a 'secular group', and without obviously naming names, cited the goal of the group to see Anwar Ibrahim to power. Hasan has gone further to put on record that the unnamed secular group even told him to be patient, as 'Islamic' law will be implemented by Pakatan if they get to Putrajaya ahead of BN.
So, clearly, Hasan Ali has stayed true to his cause, and that of PAS (or rather the original call of PAS) and by coming out, he is merely informing those who still thinks that PAS is indeed for everyone to see through their shenanigans.
I guess it can be no clearer to those who have their doubts in PAS. PAS is indeed being used by DAP and PKR to help it to power.
I wonder if DAP is aware of the 'get us there first then talk about our policies later' approach. After all DAP is now going for the 'vote for MCA is a vote against the Chinese' battle cry. What DAP does not acknowledge is the efforts by MCA in the 80's to wring in UMNO to the negotiatation table. Yes, it was scary to some, but a necessary scare at that. Where it got Malaysia was some good years in the 80s and some even better ones in the 90s. Hell, even in the Millennium, until that sleepy one took over. Thats for later. How the chinese community can blind themselves from the clear hidden hand of DAP/PAS and PKR is a wonder indeed.
DAP has already released a 'I can't afford it Najib' campaign, that aims to put the blame squarely on his administration. But didn't DAP call for the removal of subsidies? sudsidies such as sugar, petrol and other essentials? And didn't the economic whizkid ask for PLUS to be bought over entirely and 'given' back to the rakyat? Where will that put us eh?
For a group of power hungry politicians who could very well be enjoying vast returns from the sand mining industry, I say keep your eye squarely on their hands.
Oh yeah, one more thing. Did DAP actually tell you that they are against HUDUD? or is there another Gag Order in place now?

Colour Blind
I guess, colour blindness is no longer something that occurs in the general population.
When someone makes a remark, it is almost always about Political affiliation.
Anas Zubedy had to endure this, and who would have faulted someone to thinks so, for Anas himself said that Najib's 1 Malaysia was mere political rhethoric.
But, now I guess, he can see why it is so, when his own 'friend' accuses him of being 'bought'.This is not something new. Postings in blogs to run down others is not something new.
Welcome again to Malaysia post 2008.
Wrong Ang Pow colour? Blame Najib.
Matters not that those who gave away 'PEK POW' (White packet) instead of 'Ang Pow' (Red packet) were nothing to do with the government, but simply because they are Perkasa, then its the 'UMNO' arm.
I think all Malaysians should just stand back and see with a wider view that this myopia of political affiliation is something that most have all taken post 2008 and a simple, neutral viewpoint is needed, with a little common sense and less sugar and spice before things really get ugly.
Common courtesy and common sense must prevail. If someone made a mistake, go up and point it out gently.
I am certain the other party will realise their mistake and rectify any damage it had already done. Don't you think?
