So, the High Court have now acquitted Anwar. Which means he was found to be not guilty.
Interestingly enough this is what Judge Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah said- "After going through the evidence,
the court could not be 100% certain that integrity of DNA samples was
not compromised, and finds that it is not safe to rely on DNA evidence.
"As
such, court is left only with Saiful's testimony. As this is a sexual
crime, the court is reluctant to convict based entirely on Saiful's
testimony, which is uncorroborated. The accused is thus acquitted and
discharged."
Anwar says he is surprised and vindicated: "We have an agenda. Will focus on elections."
I have always maintained that our judiciary system is not flawed. Like any other, it can only rely on its judges and officers to run its course.
It has almost always been said that our legal system and its integrity is not independent. To the detractors, I say please speak with your head and not your heart. Just look at the recent cases i.e Khir Toyo and now Anwar and stop belittling our system because it does not suit your 'agenda'.
I remember a few days ago, it was said that someone was trying to inject Wan Azizah with something.
When will the drama stop then?

When it come to high profile cases, I truely, truely, truely believe that the our judiciary system SUCKS.
SUCK BIG TIME!!!
I feel for Saiful, my prayers will always be for his wellbeing.. Hoewever, I believe that Allah's justice is the ultimate. Hang in there bro... take good care of yourself, as I believe that whatever victory they achieved today is shortlived. Mark my word for it..
Truth will prevail.. INSYA'ALLAH.
Despite the High Court's decision I still find it hard to reconcile that with the earlier statement made by the judge re Saiful i.e. he found Saiful to be " a reliable and credible witness" when calling for Anuar to make his defence. There was prima facie.
Whatever the case may be, I would like to commend the prosecutors for a job well done! They were only let down by the carelessness of Jude Pereira.
