Every now and again, someone pops up from the opposition to make themselves heard, and to do so, it is normally some outrageous claims.
The latest to do so is Bentayan Assmeblyman Gwee Tong Hian. Who is that? and who can fault you if you do?
Gwee made these claims in you guessed it, The Malaysian Insider. Don't get me wrong. I believe any party willing to go to these extremes must be brought to the book. So, if YB Gwee really thinks he is trying to do his party a favour, why doesn't he report it to MACC and the Police before making a press statement?
The act of 'crossing over' isn't something new in politics yet Anwar (who we all know about the Sept 16 claims) drew first blood when he started gloating over what was to be a series of crossovesr in Perak.
Here Jebat Must Die says its best.
That is an entirely different case than Gwee, isn't it? Here we have the Bentayan ADUN saying that he is being offered money to contest in 13th GE? Sheesh....could it even have been a campaign promise in the first place?
The only thing he must do now is to ensure that the law must be used against Wee Pao Chin (whom Gwee accused as the person who offered him money), and there can be no other way than to report it to the authorities.
The last time Anwar made a claim that he had proof that money was offered to ADUN Jelapang, Changkat Jering and Behrang, he had said that the proof will be revealed in good time. Of course other opposition portals such as this propagated this lie amongst their supporters. In Gwee's case, he has a recording of the offer all made in Mandarin. Nice. So let's nail this bugger Wee Pao Chin!
If seen from a neutral perspective, aren't all these claims timely to hide the own flaws of DAP? Think Hudud, think Johor unsafe statement!
There can be no condoning efforts of bribery, and this is yet another accusation by DAP against BN. Funny thing is this Wee Pao Chin fella. The way the story is played in Malaysian Insider, Wee is portrayed to be a friend of the PM.....wah! Dangerous man!
Say hypothetically , if PM Najib answers my tweets (and not that he did) does it make him my friend? And if so, if I talk to YB Jeff Ooi who has been seemingly abandoned by Guan Eng...does it make it an attempt to buy Jeff over?
MCA Johor is also played in the same breath whereas BN 'is fast losing support' in the same Malaysian Insider story, funny thing is when I spoke to an MCA friend in Muar, Bentayan isn't exactly DAP's golden child!
If YB Gwee does not make a police report today, I suggest as Johor Chief, Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek to do the needful by reporting to MACC so to clear the air. In politics, people do resort to dirty tactics.
