At least this is what he thinks he will be if he becomes PM!
Anwar volunteered information to the (then) Ambassador of US to Malaysia, James Keith in a meeting on Sept 14, 2009.
And this is the man who wants to be Prime Minister? Anwar had met Najib in 'early August of 2009' and had apparently insisted that the meeting included PAS President, PKR President and DAP President (I did not know that DAP had a President in Karpal Singh!), at least this is what wikileaks tells us.
Sure this is old news, but here is where it gets interesting.
Apparently, in the meeting between Anwar and James Keith (at least this is what the cables between James Keith and Washington read), Anwar had said to Keith that he (Anwar) had came away satisfied from the two hour meeting as he (Anwar) was treated with respect due to an opposition party leader.
Anwar also indicated that in the meeting 'Najib had said he could not do anything for Anwar with regards to his sodomy pending case in courts.' This reads to me as if someone tried to ask the other for help. Quite unlikely that Najib asked for help from Anwar, but more likely from Anwar to Najib. Won't you think?
Next is the clincher! Anwar's apparent reply (according to Jame's wire) was to the tune
'Anwar told the Ambassador that he had replied to Najib that
he was like an emperor who could do what he wanted to
determine the outcome. Anwar indicated that he did not
expect Najib to take action on his behalf, and for that
reason had resisted Najib's offers to meet again since the
August meeting.'
Wow! I am not sure about you. It seems to me that Anwar wants to be Emperor as he seems to believe that is what a Prime Minister is! SHOCKING! To say the least!
But lets take it with a pinch of salt, its always easier to send your own message across when you are telling a third party of a supposed clandestine meeting, isn't it?
