I was alerted by a close friend that there is a development in Triang, Pahang that is turning quite ugly. Apparently, an 80 year old catholic chapel is under threat to be demolished, and the priest was reported to have been taken in to be quizzed following protest to the demolition of the said premise.
I did not get any details, or witness reports, but after scouring the web, I got this information. I am not even certain if this information is reliable, but I would place my bet on it.
Isn't this any disaster to a near perfect slogan? Let's hope there is light at the end of this tunnel.
having said the right things, and IMHO, also done the right things, let's hope those supporting the Prime Minister in their capacity will actually do something about this. It is certainly not the right signal to be sent out following the recent debacles.
Starting from Pahang MB.....let's see what will happen!
What you don't see. . . . What we hope you can see.

Judges? Whose Judges?
I stand to be misquoted, but not so long ago, a certain former MB praised the courts for finding in his favour. Today, his lawyer said that Malaysian Judges have unique abilities for the appeal had gone against him. Hmmmm.
Does it mean that a court is only just if it finds for you?
I wonder really, what my stand would really be if the a certain court finds in favour for a person I am really close to. Or how I will feel if it found against her. Either way, I will have to accept the choices I have, as would her, to appeal or be appealed against. At the end of the day, we all have to accept the verdict.
So, why then would they bring the case to court in the first place if they are not able to accept the verdict? Are Pakatan playing to BN's hand in all these tit for tat responses, or is it vice versa?
Oh yes, surely you would have heard by now, the seventh by election will be coming soon too!
I guess some bloggers will be busy. Most others will just keep away.

'The Apple does not fall far from the tree'
It always amazes me how some people can quickly jump to the conclusion when making statements such as 'The apple does not fall far from the tree', or 'like father like son'. I for one, would not like to refer to that person's failing in his fatherly duties, resulting in his offspring's failure in battling life's many challenges.
It was not so long ago that the picture of a son of the current Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib, was making it's rounds on the internet, in the company of some very lovely looking companions. Nothing wrong with that, in fact, I wouldn't mind trading places with him, as would most other men, but having to explain the pictures to one's partner or parent (if single) is deterrent enough for me to be in that position!
To those who thought it fit enough to attack both father and son, I think you should look back at your own before passing judgement. Having been alerted of today's sms alerts that was making it's rounds, one, Raja Azman Raja Petra was charged in court for possession of stolen goods as well as breaking and entering. I have met Marina and Raja Petra, and I hope and pray that this person do not have any ties with them. If it is true that this was indeed their son, I hope that they will be able to help him turn an about turn from a life of crime. It isn't nice at all, having to turn away one's blood just to save face. (it was reported that Raja Azman's bail at RM10,500 was not posted by family members). If it is true that this was indeed Raja Petra's son , and by turning his back on his son was his prefered choice of action, then others should just respect RPK's decision and stop attacking him.
On this note, maybe others will also learn to fight a gentleman's fight instead of turning to pictures and stories of the children of those intended targets. What's your thought?

Now ...BACK TO WORK!!
Now that the decision has been made, Nizar and his state government should get back to work!
As for Zambry, I recall, that he said if the decision goes against him,he will return to his small island and help thye community, something he should have also done!
As in the old school days......Guru Besar datang! Cepat! Baca buku.....But in this case...GET BACK TO WORK!!

I Don't Friend You!
I can't help but think of what my eldest girl went through in school, when a classmate of hers told her those exact words. She cried when she was relating her experience to my wife, and it was when probed, the reasons were 'because she was Chinese'. And my reaction? I spoke to her, and told her that perhaps, her friend had been unduly influenced by a certain event, or even an experience.
Words to a nine year old can sometimes be really painful, and this, I sensed must have been really up there in terms of priority for a year three student.
So it took a bit of coaxing, and it was when she was told that she also has another friend, 'Z' whom she considers her best friend in class, that she accepted this as an isolated incident. Coincidentally, the friend who uttered that racially sensitive phrase was also Malay. But I see it like this. It is not the fault of being Malay or not. Really. The nine year old who said those words, were in truth not guided the right way, or perhaps in the hustle and bustle life of a parent, hers might not have even known about the incident. I pondered on this for a few days, and when it was her sports day, took the opportunity to highlight this incident to the class teacher who carefully asked 'who and how'. I replied that it was not important and the more important thing was that she should monitor the situation, and correct it if it does come to light again.
I do not see this as an ethnic problem, and more to the individual. You see, I truely consider myself Malaysian.
And why this posting? Anak Bangsa Malaysia is a very important project. One that was initiated by Haris Ibrahim, but I sense, Anak Bangsa Malaysia has also taken its own direction. Politically hijacked, if I must say. Not by Haris, as he has always maintained that he has no ulterior motive. And I believe him. But others, have resorted to using this noble association to launch political attacks. I like the changes I see on the ground. That BN is actually committing itself to resolve issues. But, there are those who want to see BN destroyed. Fact is, we cannot afford to have that.
Don't believe me. Look north and see the damage, what Red and Yellow has done.
If we see the damage, and if we can rectify it, we should all do our part, not proceed to condemn and go on with the agenda that others wish for us.
And in this course, that I have chosen to take, I consider myself friends to both sides, though its a lonely road, sometimes. And when you do have genuine company, others will mistake your company as some form of inducement.
Today, I was told that my writing had singled out a true and well respected friend. I sincerely hope that he will see that from the beginning, we have agreed to disagree, and along the way some of us just chose to have friends who have the same view.
It won't ever be the same again.

How do we define 'Civil Disobedience'?
The call from Bersih spokesman, Wong Chin Huat to rally 'civil society' to wear black in protest of the 'coup de tat' by PM Najib is seen by pro Pakatan supporters as Najib's Black1Malaysia.
This blogger totally agrees with that view and clearly says so in his blog. This other blogger, whom I respect very much rallied the usual bloggers and proceeded to Ipoh, all dressed in Black. Truth be told, if I had not taken the big step back and soaked in how we are all used by Anwar's 'Malaysia', Pakatan Rakyat (which seems to me like Barisan Rakyat, which I have no objections to), I would have been there, and probably in black too.
The arrest of Zorro, as noted by Shanghai, seems like a deterrent by the PDRM. I still think that the boys in blue should do a better job, but how do we define civil disobedience? I hope that Zorro, along with Helen, and the others do not continue to stir up emotions. Can't anyone see that the chaos in Perak was actually caused by the representatives that were elected by the voters?
Calling for protest and gathering, whilst proceeding to 'hantam' the government seems to be the tactics that Anwar was so fond of. And he is doing it again. Create civil unease, stop the inflow of investment, and then wait in the sidelines, and hopeful to claim the throne, and then, wallah, open the rear doors to his foreign friends.
The right to associate and disassociate comes with democracy, and such, my friends continue to support Anwar, I choose not to. To me, its better the devil I know then the devil I don't know (and don't want to either). As I write, Husam Musa is already talking about one other BN MP waiting to jump ship to PAS. Just remember, who started it first (Forgot already? Malaysians mudah lupa....think 916!)
