'The Apple does not fall far from the tree'

It always amazes me how some people can quickly jump to the conclusion when making statements such as 'The apple does not fall far from the tree', or 'like father like son'. I for one, would not like to refer to that person's failing in his fatherly duties, resulting in his offspring's failure in battling life's many challenges.

It was not so long ago that the picture of a son of the current Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib, was making it's rounds on the internet, in the company of some very lovely looking companions. Nothing wrong with that, in fact, I wouldn't mind trading places with him, as would most other men, but having to explain the pictures to one's partner or parent (if single) is deterrent enough for me to be in that position!

To those who thought it fit enough to attack both father and son, I think you should look back at your own before passing judgement. Having been alerted of today's sms alerts that was making it's rounds, one, Raja Azman Raja Petra was charged in court for possession of stolen goods as well as breaking and entering. I have met Marina and Raja Petra, and I hope and pray that this person do not have any ties with them. If it is true that this was indeed their son, I hope that they will be able to help him turn an about turn from a life of crime. It isn't nice at all, having to turn away one's blood just to save face. (it was reported that Raja Azman's bail at RM10,500 was not posted by family members). If it is true that this was indeed Raja Petra's son , and by turning his back on his son was his prefered choice of action, then others should just respect RPK's decision and stop attacking him.

On this note, maybe others will also learn to fight a gentleman's fight instead of turning to pictures and stories of the children of those intended targets. What's your thought?

Yes agreed.

But with respects to Najis Razak, it is not his son who called to bathe chinese blood on his keris, he himself said it.

What say you then!

Yeah, right. Maybe someone will suggest that RPK should take a milk bottle to feed the 32 year old baby.
Sheeesh! RPK could have done better by C4ing a lovely companion.

Good point anon 7.52, but how is it that if indeed he said it, which is widely reported (whilst those who attended the event have no recollection, reporters I mean) that there are some who continue to call for his head, whereas, as also reported 'I will silence the kuils' Anwar is hailed a hero?

If you ask me, if they both said what they did, then we should look for new leaders! Why the double standards??

Dear Tony,

I note with interest your blogposts and the changing slant thereof. It presents me with an interesting case-study into the psyche of bloggers vis-a-vis the changing mindset that is inevitably effected and affected by possible changes in circumstances in their "real world".

Having met you in person, I found you an amiable guy and felt for you and your young family for the challenges faced by your wife with MAS. I sincerely hope that mess has been sorted out.

Nevertheless I notice a clear shift in your postings recently especially in the slant that you choose. That is your right but as I said; it is interesting. Cheers!

Hey Tiger,

Yes, I certainly remember you on your trip back and your (thesis?) on bloggers and the blog phenom...then.

I took a sabatical from blogging, and note the direction the rest of the bloggers took. Most leaned completely to one side (or the other) whilst those who chose not to follow were classified as selling out.

In the meantime, I chose to view both sides of the argument, and posed these very same questions to my very few readers, hence the lack of following and questions from me equals slant towards the government.

Having done my share of research on both sides, I would prefer to keep it like this. To quote a former Senior Minister...."But at the same time, there is the problem of credibility. So, you have a website called Malaysiakini. That means "Malaysia Now" and it's got some very good articles in it and some of them are signed regularly by the same person. So when we get that, we read it and then we say, okay, circulate it. But you get a lot of rubbish, too, and you have got to filter it. It's a waste of time."

Anyways, as for the mess? Its still status quo. Good to see you here and if you do wish to look at my point (which I would like to believe is as 'middle' as I can get) do drop in again.

Cheers!
