I have been out of it really! Did not step foot in Permatang Pauh until after the by elections.
It was invitable, Anwar's return to Parliament, that is.
BN is lost in the woods still, so much so, that they are resorting to blacking out news...and web portals. Malaysia Today was blocked by the MCMC, and IMHO, that is a NO NO!
MT had the right to say it, Period! What it says , it has to defend. But to black it out? No way Jose!
I got a few phone calls today, people asking me what is the mirror site, or if The People's Parliament had suffered the same fate! I can tell you, that it could be the sudden surge in traffic, but, this is only my best guess.
Like I said in my last post, I can't keep up with the others, and hence the lack of post, and more importantly, the lack of my keeping up with all these 'latest' scandals.
I do not believe a bit of the accusations that was thrown at Anwar, but I still smart of the many inadequacies that he has been prone to. The Education system being the most telling (one which I had to endure during my years in school).
But if the rest of Malaysia wants change (and so do I), I am all for that. I am also hoping and praying that Anwar has turned a new leaf (as compared to his UMNO days) and resolve to revamp, and reshape the government, something which he has been quite sure he will do.
Honestly? I just want an honest and capable Government. No more division by race, and equal opportunities....Let's just move ahead! a country for her citizens....
Meanwhile, instead of just gouing on and on about politics, I have resorted to focus on more important issues like, going green!
This is an importanant point for all of you? DO NOT DISCARD YOR BATTERIES I THE THRASH BIN! Set it aside! Put it in a battery disposal box in your community centre!
ANd please...please learn to recycle!
Come join me in the Genting trailblazer November 2008!
What you don't see. . . . What we hope you can see. I made the change in March 2008. Don't ever be told who you must vote for. You decide who your vote should go to. If you are told to support one group from the other, then you know you are in bad company!

Sick and Tired......So let's go Green!
To be really honest? I am full of envy about my friends! They are like energizer bunnies, you know? A few of them have hit the campaign trail (no points for guessing for whom!), but I have been getting really sick and tired of it all. It does not help that I see myself standing in the middle!
The weekend was good, despite having spent 9 hours on the road. I was part of Team Oddballs vying for the top prize in the Celcom NPC Treasure Hunt 2008 that took us from Kl to Penang, passing through Ipoh and Kuala Kangsar. My huntmates were extremely tolerant of the situation too. Despite that, we all had fun (I think!)
There were no less than 6 police road blocks! which got me thinking that our government is getting really paranoid! The Permatang Pauh electioin is a foregone conclusion. All Anwar Ibrahim has to do now is fulfill his promises! (IMHO) Lim Guan Eng said over the weekend that DAP was fully behind Anwar as he is the best candidate to lead this country in the event of a change in Government. Lim said it, but PAS member's think otherwise!
I am all for change, but let's hope its for the better! So much for Politics (which I know nuts about!)
And this email got me all excited again!
The 2008 Genting Trailblazer is on! Come November, working hand in hand with the Malaysian Nature Society, the theme is Going Green!
I am more keen now then before about vertical runs! So, I am now resolving to getting up early and getting breakfast ready for my daughter, before setting off to regain my stamina and physique! Calling all green activist and runners! Contact me to run 14km in an exciting event!

What People will do to get RM1 from you..
The past weeks have been busy for me workwise. Hence the lack of new postings.
I couldn't make it to Permatang Pauh either, and it would have been a sight to behold.
What more with accusations thrown across that 'opposition party supporters' were rude and violent. (but weren't we told that respect is earned, not demanded?)
Anyways, it would not be right for me to say more seeing that I wasn't there.
But those whom I was supposed to join were, and here is their take.
Haris's take here. Hawkeye Jack's here. Zorro's here, and TVSmith's here.
But that's about Permatang Pauh. Let's leave politics for now shall we?
For the past 3 days, I have been getting 'extra' sms's from some unknown number. My call to that number remains unanswered. No, and it's not from my imaginary Girl Friend!
(it should also be noted that all the sms's was in Malay)
One of those that I received goes like this:
'MALAYSIA MEMANG PELIK SKRG SBB BC YASIN MHGRB KHMS MLM JUMAAT + NISFU SYBAN DILAKUKAN D SURAU2 KG JE TP DAH X DBUAT MSJD2 BNDR MCM DULU KERNA KONONNYA BIDAAH....'
Another sms...
'MAKLUMAT TADI BLH DRJK PD M/S 4 KAIFIAT MEMBACA YAASIIN MLM NISFU SYAABAN, BUKU BERTJK SRH YAASIN TAHLIL & DOA OLEH HJ JOHARI HJ ALIAS DARULNUMAN.COM CTKN 1998'.
Presumably it touches on Islam. Presumably on my part that is. Which makes me wonder, what if some one out there is also sending out 'Christian' messages? And what if? Just what if the recipient is a Muslim?? (this could be due to my ignorance!)
And another...
'KINI PETA MAHA 2008 DR MAEPS BLH DIKLIK D LMN SESAWANG WARISAN MARZUKI.BLOGSPOT.COM/2008/07/BLN-OGOS-DAH-BERMULA.HTML UTK CEK AKTIVITI2 OKT TREM & LOKASI BAS FREE..'
And another 8 more.....unsolicited sms.
I then called Maxis on 3 occasions, speaking first to an officer (name unknown) then to Jasmi, and then to Ashley. My questions to them was how to stop unwanted sms, to which they informed me that such a service exist. But after probing question from me on the third call that I made, Ashley informed me that the 21000 service being offered is provided by a third party company! Which resulted in me sending the number an sms asking them to stop sending me these messages, but was not replied. Instead, they sent me this message! (Which takes the cake!)
'MESSAGE PLUS dr hotlink! Anda boleh menghalang mesej spam/sms yg tidak diingini dr no.Hotlink yg tidak dikenali. Hantar REG ke 21000 untuk melangan. Hanya RM1/bln'
Clearly, this was the ploy, to send you unwanted sms's and when it annoys the crap out of you, they send you a message , purpoteedly from hotlink providing Aa cure to the unwanted sms syndrome! I shall be contacting YB Jeff Ooi, who has been against this sort of arm twisting tactics by the telco's.......over to you Jeff!
Oh yeah....the number in question? +60128624623

Pay it forward
This couple of days have been hectic. Having to run around both to discharge my daily duties for my company, as well as trying to do my part for society.
There are two important announcements:
The first is a call to those who do care about our environment especially the effects of severe deforestation and the knock on effect which is happening in our very own backyard. We are talking about Sarawak. Sahabat Alam will be hosting a forum at Blog house come Thursday, 8-10pm.
sms your email to 013 387 2028 for an invite. A return email will be sent to you along with the details.
The second came in a form of a comment from an old friend of mine. We used to trade 'blows' on why BN is better then 'Opposition' but that was a long time ago. Apparently, I have seen the light since. And just for the record, its not that I am anti BN or Pro Pakatan, all I want is good governance! He has come out with an interesting post and I think you should look at it too.
Read here. Enough already, I think we should support this initiative, as it will lead to a louder voice for the Rakyat! So, read it and spread iT!
Meanwhile, People's Parliament has launched another petition. Remember? The last one brought on some great reaction. Let's hope this one can too...
p.s, I hear myblog-tv has got some new equipment....for investigative vlogging....got a tip?
