I am beginning to think that somewhere down the line, these people were thought to do this. How else can you explain these kinds of boycott? Still do not know what I am talking about?
Recently appointed Tourism Minister Azalina had all this to say...and more.
In fact, I am perplexed that the Federal Government can do this.
“We will appoint committee members from the tourism community to help develop tourism in these states,” she said.Azalina said some tourism events, such as the Penang Music Festival (in May) and the Langkawi Water Festival (this weekend), would go ahead and contracts with state contractors would be honoured.“However, we will re-evaluate plans for other events if they have not started or if the contractors have not been appointed."
In other words, we will only give money to our own people, because otherwise we have no control over how we spend it...
Can they do this? But come to think of it, the Federal Government should have more money then, seeing that almost none of the federal Ministers would need to visit these five states from today on.....
What do you think? Hey...KLIA is in Selangor, Langkawi is in Kedah, ....where will the federal Govt promote next? Sure as hell it ain't gonna be Sabah and Sarawak........

This is my first visit to your blog & I think you are "spot on".As for Azalina, well they are still in hibernation and spewing the same old rhetoric! i would classify her as an endangered species, not worth our time and effort to pay attention too! Following her logic we should only pay our taxes to the state govt.
Just becos you have half-past six Minister tending in this Industry, you have the industry going haywire. How on earth can Pah Lah asking this schoolgirl to operate in this Ministry? She is chopping away the fruit of the tree and sooner or later the tree dies!
er...Putrajaya ??? or wait a minute..I know ...how about Rembau ??
This Tourism Minister is really nincoompoop. How on earth you put politics into tourism? She must do some research first before stopping the financial aspect into the opposition lead states.Infact, she is retarding tourism into the country and who suffer in the end!! Gosh!what a pity to have this school girl to lead in this Ministry?
Azalina still doesn't understand that such arrogance doesn't work anymore. If she had had to contest for her seat, who knows? She might ot be the Tourism Minister today.
Just make sure Pakatan Rakyat puts up a more ethical and credible candidate against her during the next election.
