Thank You Air Asia!

Audra & the girls on Cenang Beach, Langkawi. Thanks Air Asia!

Mum being helped along in the Langkawi Underwaterworld by my Sis, Grace
and close family friend, Dr Dewa. (travelling physician...he he) THANKS AIR ASIA!

You see, I really have to thank Air Asia, for its true. Now everyone can fly.
Yes, yours truly, the 'pokai' guy, who is about to loose his house to his creditors, was able to 'take' the entire family for a holiday! 12 adults and 6 children, close friends and family! What a ball!

Recharged , we did. Some of us, away from the thoughts of, not having a job (actually, having one, but having to get through the motion of losing one's job!), and just seeing the kids having a whale of a time, was good. I can't say enough of it, Thanks AIR ASIA! Why? you might ask?

We were lucky to get FREE** air tickets from AIr Asia for the entire family. Ok...some of us paid 9.99! But, lets rewind to....1996. Ok, maybe not that long ago. Only MAS controlled the Malaysian skyways! OK, there was also the occasional SIA, THAI, CX that flew in to selected locations, but thats that. It would have probably cost our entire family RM10,000.00 just for the airfare alone.

What about the tourist dollars that cascades downwards to the 'Mat's' that runs day to day businesses in Pantai Cenang? The impact is huge. Air Asia that is. Our family and friends spent a bit there, and it was better than taking the dollars to other countries, ain't it?

So, do I also have to thank MAS? Probably, because, if Audra was still working for them, then we wouldn't have taken Air Asia, would we? But I won't. I know why, but I shall keep it to myself for now.

**for their anniversary Air Asia gave away free tickets to those who logged in to their website.

We also celebrated my mums 75th birthday in Lngakawi, despite having to send her to the Langkawi hospital for dialysis earlier in the day, she was in high spritis, having been able to share the occasion with the entire fanily, and close friends too! She also would like to thank Air Asia!
The recent passing of Zewts mum, and his postings made this trip even more sentimental, as we celebrated my mums 75th birthday.

Mothers

It came as a shock. And then, memories. Most of us would have gone through this emotions at least once in our lives.
A fellow blogger Zewt just went through his. Me, I went through it on August 26 1996. But this is not about me, nor my family.

Zewt said it best, on reflecting our daily 'taking for granted' of our closest ones.
Zewt, for that, don't be too hard on yourself, for God has made us all equals.

Remember her, now, and use these memories to your benefit.
Remember then, how we should from this moment take in all that our live has to offer,
From our jobs to our friends, and of course those of whom we most love.

Mum, I love you. Remember to say that. If we haven't said it often enough. Start saying and
showing it.

Our prayers are with you in this needed hour.
From the Yew family.

Have you heard of 'The Powers that Be'?

No?
The powers that be decides on what you and I should think of news that come from the blogs.
Yup...and if you are reading this already...
I am:
a.A Jobless Blogger
b.A liar
c.A rumour monger
d.Against National Unity (oh..the definition of National Unity? Can't say for sure, but ask any Malaysian Government official and you will know the answer)

So, it comes to no surprise that they (the Powers that be) have to be sure that we do not loose our way. Still don't get it? I wonder if this will ever make the main stream media (MSM).

Now unless the link above was a ploy, a decoy to get us Bloggers United to post a falsified document, then god save us! Please! Otherwise, it might be business as usual in bolehland!

Serial Discriminator?

It is indeed disturbing when you read of Serial Rapist and Serial Murderers (thankfully, we don't have that many in Malaysia). Repeating or occuring at unpredicted intervals...

http://www.independentliving.org/docs7/leipoldt20051019.html

Please read this and judge for yourself, if there is such thing as a 'Serial Discriminator'.

Discrimination: n, unfair treatment of a person or group on the basis of prejudice

Am I lying? After all , I am a blogger. No, I am not unemployed.
And, No. I don't smell like shit.

VISION

Vision \Vi"sion\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Visioned; p. pr. & vb.n. Visioning.]

To see in a vision; to dream.

(This is the definition, one of many, from dict.die.net)

But what happens when there are two (2) visions?
Blurred Visions? Visual Impairment?
which is why perhaps some people would use the term, four eyes?
So that each pair could focus on at least One (1) Vision?

Me? I am not seeing anything. Yup status quo! Nada! Zilch! No diff!

Still the same pokai (*commonly used in local cantonese dialect to
refer to one as financially broke, penniless, etc)

Perhaps, before having these Vision(s) after Vision(s) they could
focus on certain gender issues?

*foot note Vision. 20/20 vision is commonly used to term perfect vision.

Also, your vision is ok. Letters deliberately printed in small fonts. VISION.

YES! MINISTER....

If you may recall, the series. Except that in Malaysia, our Ministers seem to be more...well, Ministerial!
How else can you explain this? (here) Oopps! Sorry, or if I understood it correctly, it must have been a lie, because Elizabeth Wong is a woman blogger.
So if you have read our Minister of Tourism's statement, you would now know that 80% of woman bloggers are unemployed and liars!
I know of a few of them, but none of them are unemployed! Either that or our government are coming out with some great statistics.

Oh, I also know of one other woman, who is unemployed but no! She is not a blogger, so that doesn't make her a liar...right?

Oh, by the way, here are other liars according to Adnan....here, here, here, here, here...

MARCH 15 2007 UPDATE

Right. If you haven't read already, Rocky was seated alongside Malaysia's Tourism Minister at a press conference today. Rocky in his capacity as the National Press Club's President, and The Minister in his official capacity for a handover ceremony for the National Press Clubs Treasure Hunt. It was here that some Journalist popped the question to the Minister. The question?
Oh...you should know by now. The answers? (here)

1st March 2007 - 4.00pm KL Industrial Court

Something is up! Audra's just received a phone call from her lawyer, Marinna Netto, to meet her at the KL Industrial Court at 4.00pm. Nothing was told to her, when Audra asked, Marinna replied, just be there.

Are there any surprises? Could it be that Marinna has finally given up hope? Could it be the Union discharging her? Could it be that MAS is offering something?

Whichever it may be, its keeping me in suspense! Why else will we be called at the eleventh hour?

Will keep posted!
