Screenshots Blogger called in to meet Police for taking of statement

Jeff Ooi of Screenshots answering pressmen
Rocky and Nuraina - 3540 Jln Sudin getting more details from Jeff

The Star daily had this on their headlines today. I am happy that the Police actually took action to stop rowdy protesters. But, which one was rowdy? And who was protesting? In other words, the Police took action against peace loving Malaysians who merely marched for human rights. Is that called protesting?
I hate rioters, I had rowdy protesters, but I do support street side picket lines (by Unions who are reduced to doing that simply to have their rights heard) and in this case, marhcers who wished that human rights in this country are not compromised.
To those who thought otherwise, well, you weren't there and you did not see the peaceful marchers. All they did was walk from one place to another. Yet they were attacked! I say attack because, the marchers were walking in one direction, when the police put up a picket line to stop the marchers. Thereafter, a senior officer was seen pointing fingers at the 4 lawyers in the front of the line, as well as a few others. The police officers then moved in to arrest the marchers.
(you can view this here) wysiwyg.....I was there. What is surprising is that some other 'armchair bloggers' gave their different views, which they are entitled too, but not accurate though!

You judge for yourself. As for the header, it says it all, Jeff Ooi was summoned to the CCID (Commercial Criminal Investigation Department) to meet with ASP Tan, of DLL CCID (I can only assume that DLL, means and others...dan lain lain)
Jeff arrived at the CCID office sometime around 1:30 pm, and was accompanied by 3 lawyers, Gobind Singh, Lim Lip Eng and K.A Ramu, all of whom were DAP Legal Officers who offered their services to Jeff. As investigations are still under way, details of the 'Interview' could not be revealed, but Jeff and Gobind had this to say:

(Please visit in a few hours after youtube approval for Jeff's statement)

Jeff Ooi had three police reports made against him a few days after the Bersih Rally. Raja Petra of Malaysia Today had one report against him. It seems likely that the Police are following up on these reports. A significant question posted by Rocky during the brief statement made by Jeff, was "did the police question you on your role as a blogger? 'Independent' Journalist? a politician? A DAP member?" to which Gobind Singh replied, 'As a Malaysian'.

i hate to say this tony, but after 50 years of independence, the only progress this nation has made so far in terms of material well-being (and even on this count, there's still so much more which can be done but which gets bogged down by racial politics/policies). in all other respects, we have regressed. i seriously doubt that it will improve. i mean, you've got 50 years to do it, if you can't, another 50 ain't gonna make a dang difference.

Tony, if Desi says this of you he means it. Veteran journo like Desi knows something good if he sees one. Kudos 6feet 2.

Hey Tony,

I find that whoever reports on Jeff can't take it quite easy on things. Concerts that the young want to attend like Beyonce's get canceled in the name of religion.

The arrests that were made yesterday and on Sunday were part of Abdullah's own OPS PADAM, a campaign similar to Ops Lalang '87 meant to eliminate those who pose a threat to Bedol.
